After the presentation at the mid term evaluation, the stallion selection committee ended the participation of Rebel MJDB, for they didn’t see a positive outcome here. Despite the committee’s decision, the owner of Rebel MJDB kept having faith in his stallion. He wasn’t afraid to take risks for and to invest in what he believed in. He wanted to continue the performance test of Rebel MJDB at his own expense, which the committee allowed. In the second half of the training period, Rebel MJDB made significant improvements. The positive review of the training manager was taken into account as well by the committee. The stallion selection committee thereupon reconsidered their earlier decision and accepted Rebel MJDB as an officially approved KWPN stud after all. The owner definitely was rewarded for his faith, perseverance and investments in his stallion. And Rebel MJDB already lived up to his name, right in the beginning of his future breeding career. That sounds promising for the future. Anyway, all’s well that ends well. Happy endings not only happen in fairy tales, but in reality too. I congratulate the owner with his new official approved stallion. I hope Rebel MJDB may have a very long and successful breeding career waiting for him in the DHH world. No guts, no glory.
