Boven- en benedenwereld
Kweldergebied van natuurreservaat Middelplaten, bij Wolphaartsdijk in de gemeente Goes op Zuid-Beveland.
In een klein stroompje in het kweldergebied doorboorden groene sprieten de waterspiegel, waaronder veel blaadjes van het wijdvertakte drieblad zichtbaar waren. Het oppervlak van deze benedenwereld werd doorbroken door de sprietjes zodat er een grafisch beeld ontstond als je wat inzoomde. Toch vond ik het als totaalbeeld nogal saai. Dus zocht ik een stukje waarin één “klavertje” van het drieblad net boven de waterspiegel uitstak. Dit kreeg een prettige plek in mijn beeld, iets uit het midden, rekening houdend met de verdere compositie van alle groene elementen. Bewust gebruikte ik geen polarisatiefilter omdat ik het diffuse wateroppervlak wilde gebruiken als scheidslijn tussen onder en boven. Ik zorgde voor wat overbelichting door de ISO te verhogen en voor een grote scherptediepte met een klein diafragma. Omdat ik uit de hand fotografeerde was er nog een redelijk snelle belichtingstijd nodig.
In de nabewerking maakte ik de foto net iets contrastrijker en sneed hem een beetje bij, zodat het beeld er in de hoeken en langs de randen verzorgd uitzag zonder al te veel afgesneden sprietjes.
En zo ontstond er een boven-en een benedenwereld, van elkaar gescheiden door de waterspiegel.

The list of our canvases is 2 cm thick. Note: A border of about 2.5 cm will disappear around the front of the canvas, which will be printed on the side (and a few mm the back).

Photo on Alu Dibond
Dibond, also called aluminium, consists of two thin layers of aluminium and an intermediate layer of black plastic. The material is moisture-resistant, retains its shape and is durable.
A photo print glued to 3 mm dibond is a presentation form that you often see in galleries. The image is not printed directly on the material, but first exposed on Fuji photo paper.
The Fujifilm DPII Velvet is a type of paper with a nice matte surface. It gives a nice shine and brilliant color reproduction.
Forex
Foam board (Forex) is a sturdy sheet material, it is white in color and weighs almost nothing. You could compare it to Styrofoam, except forex has a beautiful, hard, and smooth top layer. This pristine white top layer makes the material extremely suitable for printing.
